What is a Digital Product Passport?
It is a digital identity linked to an individual physical product. It can contain product information, digital credential data, warranty, ownership, maintenance records, documents and lifecycle events.
Does the customer need a FIDATRA Passport account?
No. Customers can open a public Digital Product Passport directly by scanning the product QR code.
Can every product have its own identity?
Yes. Each physical Product Instance receives its own TraceID and can have an individual QR credential, serial number, history and passport.
Can manufacturers control what is public?
Yes. FIDATRA Passport separates internal management data from information published in the public passport.
Can ownership be transferred?
Yes. Ownership can be registered, transferred and revoked, with public visibility controlled by the manufacturer.
Can service and repair history be recorded?
Yes. Maintenance records can include service type, provider, mileage, dates, costs and public visibility.
What happens if a QR credential must be replaced?
QR credentials can be revoked and new credentials can be issued for the same product identity.
Is FIDATRA Passport only for luxury products?
No. The platform supports multiple verticals including automotive, luxury, fashion, watches, jewelry, electronics, art, wine and general products.
